What age groups does Game On Chess Academy accept?
We welcome students from age 5 and above. We have specially designed programs for kids (5-12), teens (13-17), and adults (18+). It's never too early or too late to start learning chess!
Do I need prior chess knowledge to join?
Not at all! Our Beginners program starts from the very basics — how the pieces move, basic rules, and simple tactics. We cater to complete beginners and advanced players alike.
Do you offer online chess classes?
Yes! We offer both in-person classes at our Bangalore centre and two formats of online classes via Zoom — Group Online Classes (small batches of 4–8 students) and 1-to-1 Personal Classes (fully dedicated coaching). Both formats include the same structured curriculum and personal attention.
How are the batches structured?
Batches are kept small (6-8 students) to ensure personal attention. Students are grouped by skill level, not age, so they learn alongside peers at similar playing strength.
Do you prepare students for tournaments?
Absolutely. Our Tournament Preparation program includes opening repertoire building, endgame technique, time management, and regular practice tournaments. Many of our students have won state and national level medals.
